Comments Policy

Authors on this blog are more than happy for a bit of argument, its one of the reasons we write these posts. You know, apart from venting. However, there are a few rules we would like you to abide when it comes to making a comment. A number of people have now asked why certain comments get approved and others don’t, hence we’ve created this page, and a formal outline of what we’d like from you if you want to participate in an argument with us.

1) Use your real name. When we write these blogs, we have the courage to put our name (and sometimes face) to them and stand up for our opinions. We’d ask nothing more than the same courtesy in return and if you feel you aren’t willing to sign your name to a comment, then perhaps you should reconsider whether or not you are making it.

2) Use proper English. We write these blogs to a certain standard. I’ll be the first to admit my English isn’t perfect, to put it bluntly, I’m lazy. However, we would appreciate posts being readable. You should also not overuse capital letters, exclamation marks or question marks. If you do so, your comment will not be approved.

3) If you are making a comment, please ensure that it is actually a worthwhile contribution to the debate. A one line post simply saying “What a load of crap”, without any justification will be deleted out of hand. No debate can occur from that point, so don’t waste our time.

Thanks for your co-operation!
